Information:
Enduro racing is a type of racing in which there are no rules. So, the best explanation is bumper cars while racing. Where am I getting a Figure 8 from? Daytona Int Speedway, out on the backstretch the bus-stop area of the roadcourse makes a particular shape close to a figure 8. It crosses through it self. Below is a picture for reference.
We will race with it set to 1 lap. Right after we race all the figure 8 laps, we then drive in line of our positions into the finish line.
The cars are Clio Renault Sport Trophy cars. Any of those cars being there is like 3 different ones.
I will add the car regulations once I look over the car a little more.
Rules:
Don't cut through corners.
Don't drive infront of leaders or block if lap down.
Don't badmouth.
Regulations:
HP:
Weight:
Tires: Racing Hard
No ASM
No TCS
No ABS
No Best Line
No Skid Recovery
No Active Steering

im interested but ill have to check out the track your thinking about in the game. it might not work. if you want to do "enduro racing" might i suggest Kart space? its DLC but tight close quarters racing. you HAVE to bump and smash with full size cars to get around the place. but you cant KILL someone cause there just isnt enough room. we raced GT500 cars there once and it was funny.

The track is Daytona on the backstretch the bus loop. Here I'll show a bit better picture because that one doesn't show it's really Daytona...

yea i see it... on that pic its never going to work.
i dunno if it looks different in the game or not but if it resembles that it will not work. your better off making it an oval instead of a figure 8.
how are you going to know how many laps someone has done with out a lap counter?

I always thought "Enduro" was just short for "Endurance"
In my opinion, it's a good concept. Watch out for collisions at the cross-over, lol.
I'm not sure how well Daytona would work out, especially because one way through the cross-over has a smooth path, but the other is a double-hairpin. I'd recommend the Top Gear Test Track.
But I'm still open to try this out.

Yeah we have raced plenty of times on the Top Gear track and I've seen a ton of collisions. It's pretty hair raising stuff when you're coming towards the middle of the track and you see a car coming in the opposite direction. lol. Then it just falls to who wants to brake more, and then BAM collision. lol
I think Daytona would be worth a shot at least. But it will be hard to keep track of your laps, especially if there is contact.

you would need one person that was there to score the race only. other then that your going to have trouble tracking laps properly.
Enduro is short for Endurance. But their are two different "enduros" that couldnt be further apart.
One is your 24H type races wtih million dollar race cars on the worlds greatest tracks.
The other is high lap carnage races where the object is to "endure" the canage
Enduros have evolved in my area of the country from carnage races to entry level bust the glass out and lets go racing.
search "Halloween Howler race" on youtube for what Whitey is looking for lol

Yes, I mean Enduro as in the more carnage style racing. And Daytona works, me and a few friends a while ago did it, tons of fun. Get about 6-7 of you out there and the track seems so small but a lot of fun. And the thing about the lap counter, real life doesn't have lap counters. Just be fair about what position you are, and with those small slower cars it doesn't need to be a perfect 8. The GT5 crew also happened to do it wrong in the first place.

i suggest looking into just calling this a "demo derby" rather than an "eduro" because as Gojet says, enduro usually means endurance which means racing for a long period of time and treating it like a marathon.
I think the only reason to use a figure eight course is to cause wrecks, so you might as well look at it that way.
you might want to use full damage too so that he who is best at avoiding contact from others wins.
and using top gear would allow you to keep track of laps etc.
