TunersPit (TPRA), Grand Touring Le Mans Series

A Grand Tour (Gran Turismo in Italian) of the Pays de la Loire region of France, is a must for the sports car enthusiast. Start at Ave Georges Durand south along the Rue Ligne Droite des Hunaudières to the town of Mulsanne, make the right at Le Club House unto the north west running Pierre Baude then a hard left westbound unto Route du Mulsanne which leads to Arnage, the town.  Rue Pays de la Lorie will take you back due north to the Y junction where you can move a few barcades and take the short cut on de la Sarthe to Cité Plantagenet or more famously, the City of Le Mans.

Every year since 1923, these roads are temporarily closed and monstrous machines driven by brave men and women are unleashed on the quiet countryside in a 24 hr crucible that test the mettle of both. Although the LeMans Prototype (LMP) now represents the pinnacle of sports car racing, the 2+2 big engine Grand Touring (GT) coupe was there at the genesis. It was the GT car that made up the field at the great Italian classics, the Targa Florio (1906–1977) and Mille Miglia (1927–1957), and the Mexican Carrera Panamericana (1950-1954). Many decades later this GT formula remains the basis for almost all non-open wheel auto racing.

The reputation that a car manufacture and it's drivers can make by wining at the 24hr has only increased with time.  Today, Le Mans is not only a racing venue, it defines a class of cars and style of endurance racing unique in all the World.

The Tuners Pit Racing Association and Team PKR invites you to Season II of the Grand Touring Le Mans (GT LM) Series.
