Super GT Thursday Exhibition Sprint Races
I welcome you to the Seasonal Exhibition race while ECIRACING is out chasing Dragon's Tail
Race Rules are the same as the Opening Post.
Prizes will be handed out. Prizes for Miscellaneous activities will also be handed out.
11th-16th get 1 point.
Sections: 5 Complexity: 7
Lap Count: 13Laps
Qualifing time : 4 minutes
Background: Located deep with in the Brazilian desert you'll find Mt. Aso. Sprawling with exotic wild life and hilly paths, there is a patch of road that defies the laws of Physics. Where the only thing getting you out of bed is adrenaline and the NEED FOR SPEED. Winding, undulating roads define Mt Aso's beauty; making it perfect for drivers to come and test their driving skills and courage.
Notes: Ran a few races here with Ramjet and 100% of the races were held at tracks under 2 miles. I think its safe to say we'll be running a short track here.
Sections: 3 Complexity: 0
Lap Count: 20Laps
Qualifying time :5 minutes
Background: HOT HOT HOT! Dusty. All good ways of describing the famed Hickory Basel Tri-Oval. The high temps and fast speeds makes this place ideal for intense balls to the wall action. Drivers beware: One minor slip in concentration here will have you dodging road runners and cacti. Only three turns here, so make them count.
Notes: Ran a few races with Ram and they were all backwards ovals. The racing was fast and intense.
Sections: TBA (looking at 7) Complexity: TBA (looking at 8)
Lap Count: 10Laps
Qualifying time 6 minutes
Background: Eiffel Circuit is home to our Main Event. This proper race track is located well in the American Suburbs under the smoldering April Sun. Very fast sections combined with highly technical turns makes this place an absolute pleasure to drive. Just remember that Turn 1 comes up Fast and Furious.
Notes: Have NOT ran here yet (as of Wednesday morning) Will run a few later tonight just to check it out.
Edit: Race will be held in ECI's Lounge. Start time is the same, 9:30 pm Est (6:30pm Pst). I will open up the lounge at 8:30pm (usual Quali time). I think we will be running generated tracks every 10 minutes during Qualifying, Just to get a feel for the places.
Ooh! Sounds fun! Although, I believe we should be racing / practicing on tracks per the series, I will be there on Thursday ready to burn some rubber!
One question: what do you mean by qualifying time? 4 minutes for 13 laps and so on?
Ps. Liked the background descriptions! Good job Juan!
Can I make one suggestion after reading all the rules. Could we set the slipstream to weak. This will keep racers from getting a draft from 1km away. Just a thought, its your series bro. Thanks.
i think the draft works fine but thats just me i guess. in real life if yuo can see a car ahead of you its helping. with weak draft if your more then about 10 lengths behind you have no hope of sniffing the draft.
Hey guys. I'm back in town. How did Juan's exhibition race go?!?!?!?! I'm dying to know!
Anyway, race #1 is all set for this Thursday. I'll be on doing some practice over the next couple of days....not sure when though. If anyone goes on for some practice, post up so others can join. If any of you have sent friend request's over the past couple of days, I will get them accepted tomorrow.
Rules in the original post are how they're going to be. No changes, unless something just isn't working right. See you all soon!
Nothing could melt away ice last Thursday, not even the course generator..was good times.
So ice was the man to beat huh? Nice! Ice! Spice! LOL How was the turnout?
