I hope everyone advanced in GT a bit because of this combination, tonight.

While not easy, the car is manageable once tuned to your style of driving.

Keep the car because we can use it agin, maybe in the summertime.

@Hey, Your misfortune led me to victory on 3 out of 4 races. I'm saying that because if you were there, I would most likely have been behind you.

It was a great night of racing. Lots of fun and learning how to control the beast was a very demanding job. The only downfall for me was, when I left the room everything froze up. I haven't logged back in but usually when that happens you lose you tune and any replays that were saved. I hope that's not the case. I'll find out later today.

EDIT: Just checked in this morning. My tune is still there and the replays are saved and working. phew that was close.

Thanks mastrGT for making us all take on this challenge.

yes thanks for the challenge everyone!

And... I wondered what happened to Hey?  I thought there were maybe two people I couldn't see on track.

and and... maybe it's time to start thinking about a second room MGT?

It kind of makes me feel bad that joining means someone else can't, but this combo made me want to take up a spot.

I'm relatively happy w/ my performance.

I rarely spun and found i was able to sense the car losing itself, and correct, but had to do so very very frequently.

Some listed a rollbar tune of 7/1, and I misread it and had 1/7 for the first race!!! LOL

Yeah I did the same thing and when I got on track for the first time, I quickly realized something wasn't quite right. My rollbar settings at the end of the night were 4/2. I watched the replay of the first race for a bit because this morning my son was saying..."downstairs, watch cars...daddy...downstairs watch cars...". I kinda had to let him watch a little bit before he went off to daycare.

In the first race i had the rear of the car setup a little too stiff. It took 3 full length races to learn how to tune the car a bit better. Plus I learned how to drive the car a heck of a lot better.

awww... adorable!
Hey, thanks for the tune.  That is very different in a lot of ways from what I was using, so I'm planning on doing some recon again soon with your specs to see just what difference it would have made.  if it helps keep me from having to fight the car, then it would certainly have produced a better position in some races.  Like I said above, I didn't spin much at all, but not spinning was still very difficult to achieve and caused me to have to let off a lot and I could see people catching up as I did so.

Re: Monday Night Racing

Feb 19, 2013

When hey disappeared, there wasn't much I could do. However, we didn't all get kicked off while racing, so that was a good thing.

But don't worry, we will use this car again, probably during the summer, maybe after they settle the PP system. I want more time for me to learn how to tune this car better, and this event was just a warm-up for everyone else, especially those who have avoided it (or ones like it) until now. I want this event to cover using any and all cars. We've got them, so let use use them.

I was comfortable on the tracks when I was alone, but so many things went wrong when surrounded by other cars. I never recovered.

For now, I won't deal with creating a second room. As the warm weather returns, it will take off some pressure.

Re: Monday Night Racing

clacksman said he used 1/7 in his tune, but that just made my car unmanageable, so mine was set to 6/1. I found that 7/1 was just too stiff.
