This inagural race will have to be a bit of a test, so the car's Performance Points will be capped a bit lower than what may be normally scheduled for the 3rd week.
Monday: August 27
Time: 8 PM - 9 PM (or later, depending on interest) Be on time!
Track: Grand Valley Raceway, reverse (hopefully less trouble on the first corner...)
PP range: maxed at 630
Tires: Racing Softs (RMs didn't cut it)
Laps: 7 (this extends the time enough to make a pit stop necessary)
Tire wear: Low
This combo is to highlight using care with the accelerator and to control tire wear. Tires get best results on the 2nd and 3rd laps. By the fifth lap, you should be getting into trouble. Don't push your luck any further. So the question is, do you pit on the 3rd or 4th lap?
You should be able to get around 1'50 laps, at best, but remember - there are sand traps, and be careful when exiting hairpins.
Racing will start on time, so be early.
I'll try to open around 7:30.
New races every 20 minutes.
The room number will be added to this post after the lobby is created.
Room Number: ????
Tire wear has only 2 settings. On or off. Do you mean the grip reduction setting? And what is the draft setting? Weak or heavy?
There's no need to attend every argument you're invited to...

Thanks, again, for everyone coming out.
The room was almost full, at one point.
And it seems almost everyone (who was ready) was enjoying themselves, too.
You just had to know the car's limitations and stay within them.
Next week will be featherweights. I have a car in mind, but if anyone has suggestions for a track... let me know.
thanks MastrGT for hosting,
it was a well-run event with a diverse crowd and lots of fun. I was surprised I got the car to hook up as well as it did, as I really wouldn't choose to drive NASCAR. I think the Career Mode makes you drive on a road track, and maybe a past seasonal too.
It's surprising that they actually do turn well with the right settings or with the right patience.
I found just waiting for the right moment to go full throttle being the biggest key to driving them.
brake, turn-in (sometimes simultaneously), wait (sometimes with half throttle), wait some more, and then full throttle.
