Official word on the penalty thing; I think eci and Ken are right. One car per segment race is simpler and fair. So the new rule will be...
- You can only use a particular car once per segment. Using a car twice in one segment will result in half points for that race.
- Exception is Endurance Specials. Car choice is free for those races. Use your favorite!
This will take effect at the start of Segment 2
Sounds good, jet. If you don't mind, I have one more question. You said we have to use a different car for each race in a segment. What defines a "different" car. In other words, could I use 4 different Super GT NSX's? Just want to make sure I don't mess up. :-)

my VOTE on that would be a DIFFERENT make and model (same as the FF). ECI, you have a great system for the FF thats been working GREAT.

Yes, all of the liveries of the Super GT NSX (Including the Stealth version) will be counted as the same car. Same thing for earlier year models.
Basically, if the car's main name is different, then it is different. Cars of different years or different paints will count as the same car.

I'm fine with it either way. If I was running LMP, I would probably prefer to use the same car every race. I've grown to love my R8 :-) However, since I'm running GT, I don't mind the idea of switching cars every race. There are so many race cars that I've never used, so it will be nice to get a chance to mess with some of those.

So how about LMP is one car, and GT you have to change cars?

Just an update guys. The forecast is saying 30% chance of rain for Suzuka this Sunday. Remember, we are basing the race weather on the real-life weather at the track. (To be exact, the weather at noon at the track's time zone)
