I'm in! Sign me up. However I will say that I may not be able to attend the first event, March 11th. Possibly have a ski trip that week (though I'll know for sure months in advance).
I can't wait to test out this new format later this week
I'm still commited to this race series, however as I suspected I will not be able to attend the first event. I'll be away in Montana that day Looks like I'll have to take a DNF off the bat, oh well!
snake, because it's still two months away, you'll probably ahve a hard time getting people to commit. Just stick with it and post it on the open forum's Events list in the next couple weeks to get people talking about it and interested.
Looks like the tire wear will be a major factor. Did sone test and tuning last night, barely managed 8 laps on Daytona Road before the tires were nigh undrivable. Lap times started around 1:45:xx, but faded fast to 1:52:xx. Lots of work to do yet! The Stealth may be a contender yet.......
With any luck it just gives everyone a few months to get time with the car.
I did some testing to get lap counts. At Daytona I was getting 1:48's. So my bet is that it has to do with your PM as to why your tires are not lasting. That said, 8-10 laps is all we will get with the new tire models. Look in to running a lower final gear as well.
Think I'll keep tuning for now, and you can get a feel for the car in the test race, I'll watch for the notice. Practice again tonight, pro'lly around 7.30 pm est, if anyone wants to jump in. I'll set up Daytona Road for some drafting practice.
