Numerous times traps have not gone off when enemies have crossed them even regardless of being set ahead of time or pulling the lever when they're there.
I've seen two players so far who were never affected by spike traps or fire traps when set or pulled. W.T.F?
I imagine it's due to lag from the host, since the host's PS3 probably handles the traps.
I've also been killed by my own set traps when they haven't been triggered by enemies. It's extremely annoying.
Fire traps are more consistent than spike traps but they still suffer from not working properly.
I would hope there is more than just fire and spike. Frankly I'm sick of enemies walking through set traps as if they are invincible.
The spike trap on the lower level of Polyphemus' stage seems next to useless if you set it or even manually use it when enemies are in or around it. It activates too slowly and you can have multiple enemies just walk through it to get to the activation circle or flag pad.
You are more than likely going to suffer damage or death trying to go after an enemy who is sitting pretty in the trap.
