Nice job kp4983!
But yes, you do have to wait just before they get up for your grapple to work on them., it does give them life and gets them out of the battle.
As for saving your teammate in general, you shouldnt be able to save them right when the red halo is over their head. But an indicator letting you know your able too would be nice. At times I felt I waited long enough to save them, but still had to wait. Either way I do enjoy this feature, its just very unclear for the timing.
Just wanted to add to this topic.
It was pretty hectic during the Beta and it was hard to tell if a teammate was down or not because everyone (teammate or opponent) all had the red halo above their heads.
I think it's been discussed before but I think if teammates could see each other down via a green halo I think it would be a tremendous help in realising if your teammate needs help or not.
Here some visual aids to give a better idea of what I mean:
These images represent a situation where a teammate and an enemy are looking at the same downed champion. What they will see will differ depending on whether they're friend or foe.
Okay. Now normally I'm not one to boast but I just had to say, notice how they finally added in my idea.
I'm really glad they did this too because the percentage of me saving my teammates has gone up exponentially since they added the green halo! Now you know when an ally is in trouble, as opposed to before when it was easy to lose teammates in the chaos of Magics and Items being used all over the place.
