Re: Not allowing me to d/l 1.07 update

I have deleted the data twice. I've tried every few hours. Getting really irritated as it loads up to 100% then gives me error code 80029563 then I have to go out. Can't even play GOW ascension and Last of us will be out before I can even play the demo!

I've emailed the psn guys and got no reply.

What do I do?

It's 6/4. 10 days left. Please add me to whatever list there is and help resolve this. Using the data utility and deleting the info hasn't worked, waiting and trying every few hours hasn't worked...so basically out two games atm.

Thank you

Same issue here. DL seems to take forever, gets stuck in different portions. Sometimes won't even progress past 0%. Occasionally locks up system when I attempt to back out of download. Getting a little frustrated at the lack of ideas/fixes. Deleted old game data files twice already and am sick of redownloading 1.05 only to have 1.07 fail. Feels like I'm wasting my time here.

This is extremely frustrating and the lack of support is making me want to sue Sony. But wait, I can't! because of the user agreement. So, thank you, sony... For once again screwing me out of my money by making it nearly impossible to play your games.

Just got done staring at the download screen stay at 0% for nearly 20 minutes before error 80710723 finally came up. You've been aware of this issue for almost a week. What's being done to fix it? People who can't update can't play multiplayer and some have even reported not being able to play single player. Not to mention those of us who've been anticipating the Last of Us demo we'd been promised. That portion can't be accessed from the menu without a full update for some asinine reason, even though it's not even on the freaking disc. This is absolutely unacceptable. I can't imagine you're ok with a large portion of your player base being unable to play the game you worked so hard to make, so why has the ball been dropped so hard on this patch?

I finally got it to update... here's what I did:
Delete version 1.06 in game data then go down your games list to the actual gowa update icon and delete it. Then go up to the gowa disc icon and press x. It will go black screen for a sec, then 4 things will dl and install (really, sony?) After that, the game should start up. Good luck, guys... time to play that demo ;-)
