There was a vibration to the parry regardless of whether it was connected or not. I'm not sure sure if there was a harder impact felt when it connected but I don't think there was.
The bigger issue is lag interfering when a parry of all things needs to be precise. It's the exact reason I thought they should have kept the Golden Fleece type of block where you block by holding and repel by a timed press. Parry should have worked the same way instead of making it a two button command.
