Looks a lot like the default guy to me. He is asking for the Gods help and no blood is on that blade after the strike and the guy turns kinda glowy white......

 Those saying it would be impossible. Many other games have it to where the cinematic are also linked to what your character has equipped. Don't really see an issue here.

He was in a totally different area too.  The other prisoners were at the beginning of that 30 mins , he was close to the end. Wonder if it was a different crime or was he pending sentencing.

@rachelnlucas Maybe He Was Guardian There At The Location, But Somehow Managed To Help One Of The Prisoners And Was Caught Doing The Act And Was Sentenced For It .

He Did Have Lighning Fast Reflexes, Just At The Nick Of Time .Laughs

At Least He Spoke, In The MP All He Does Is Grunt, Yell, And Laugh While Taunting .

But He Is Nameless, Maybe Our PSN ID's Our His Name ?

Guys, I dont have any proof or may not be too credible... but my ps3 is REALLY laggy in single player and online and when playing the beta, i got returned in the match with a face option and other icons. I couldnt tell what the other icons were because the game froze afterwards but it was pretty cool.

It might be the character skin color or something i would imagine
