Dodging, too easy?

8 replies 285 views Edited Feb 28, 2013

So in the little mini dodging games like the beginning where you have to dodge the fury's claws. Regardless of the direction you input Kratos will dodge the attack. I think it would have been more challenging if you were suppose to dodge in a specific direction.

For example, if she is about to attack from the right side, you have to press left and if she is attacking from the top, you have to press down. Well I guess it's too late for that now.

I think thats the "tutorial" for the new promtless dodge since its the first time you doing this so obviously it would be oke if you dodge either way but I guess there will be more in which you can dodge only one way without getting hurt but im not sure tho.

Squat: >too easy to dodge
It is. But it doesn't matter, because she cannot hurt you anyway. You can leave the system on all night and come back covered in blood, but unharmed. I don't even play that part like they intend now. Just mash (L) *left or right) and light (right analog and heavy also work the same) and her attacks phase through and you more quickly proceed.

>direction
Indeed, this too doesn't matter.

>too late
Yep.

Navi: >tutorial
You can tell yourself that if you like, but it was the same for Juggernaut and it will be the same for Manticore and beyond. Search your feelings, boy. You know it to be true.

>oke
What?

NOTE: Being that you can literally not die in that sequence, punishing a bad dodge would be wise. Make them learn right away (and forget right away as casuals tend to do *count on DSP being like that*).

I dunno why you spell Navi but whatever.

I never implied something as a fact just thought about a reason why it would be easy to dodge and it is a new feat. and the  beginning of the game so the first thing which poped into my mind was "coz it's a tutorial". I can deal either way since I can enjoy any sequel even if it offers new things and don't try to complain and moan all about it. You should open your view before judging people you don't know or understand rather than try to give suggestions.

>dunno
Why do you represent "don't know" as such?

>but
You forgot the comma.

>feat.
Feature. It's probably better to not use such shorthand.

>first thing that came to your mind
I already know this.

>can deal
How good of you to simply cope with what you buy.

>enjoy any sequel
That easy to please, are you?

>even if it offers new things
Curious implications. You didn't think this one through.

>don't try
You should be more of a doer. Like me.

>complain and moan
Instead you choke it down and ask for more? Make excuses? Apologize on their behalf? Come now.

>judging how I judge
Open your mind. My way is best. *hohoho*

>don't know
What's to know about you, Navi?

>rather than give suggestions
Nonsense. That's what the conversation is all about. Critique is part of the process. Learn to contend with it like a well-adjusted adult. Do not fear it. Do not deny it.

>why

because it's faster to write that way

>forgot the comma

thanks that you mention but I don't care about little things like that as long as you understand what I mean which you obviously do but I know you like to act like a higher being.

>feature

yeah nevertheless it probably was hard for you to understand what I meant.

>easy to please

I never said I'm easy to please but that I can accept changes even if I'm not pleased with it

>doer

I rather use my head before I do things thoughtless

>make excuses

No as said I can deal with it even if it is not as good as previous installments. You should know that every installment offers different things since the game director changed in every 'sequel' so why start moan now ? It's a known formula.

>my way is best

That's your main flaw. You think too high of yourself.

>to know about you

I imply that for you everybody in the internet is the same ? Now I understand why you think so highly of yourself.

>nonsense

So the conversation about my opinions is it all about ?

>part of process

If that is so than why don't you adapt the process I made about/for you ?

>learn to contend

To hear this from you is somehow ironic.

Navi: >faster
Marginally. And in poor taste.

NOTE: You forgot capitals and punctuation a great deal of the time in this response.

>thanks that you mention
Awkward wording. Consider revision.

>don't care about little things
*glove slap*
Effective communication is paramount.

>higher being
What's all this you're going on about, sailor?

>never said it
I said it, as it is just so.

>do things thoughtless
You a non-native speaker, lad?

>why start now
>start now
>now

>too high
Just high enough, rather.

>everybody is the same
Come now. I'm merely asking what is there to know about you that you should make note of my 'not knowing you'? Of what importance is this, I ask. You're not a run vet, yes? A tester, challenge runner, exploiter/glitcher, speedrunner, etc.? Just a fair weather fan and casual, yes?

>than
"Then", rather.

>ironic
Ah, yes. This word. So then, on to the lessons. Which entry should you like to start with, Navi?

You can't ignore my girth, Ash.
