I have just recently got a PS Vita from my game store and I was happily playing it for at least 6ish hours (on and off charger of course) I decided to set it down and turn it off so I could fully charge it and play it a bit more either later tonight or tomorrow.
I depressed the power button the top and selected the option to turn it off BUT instead of turning off I was greeted with a blinking PS button and I have a swirling circular thing on my screen! I do not have it plugged in currently as the only option right now that I see is to let it die (since I cannot physically remove the battery as I used to do with the PSP in errors like this) and I was wondering if this is a known issue or something

I JUST FIXED IT!
Not sure if it will work on yours (if it's the same issue it shoulld)
Hold down the power button for 20~ seconds (I thikn I had it pressed down for about 15) and a menu should pop up and allow you to do a few options (I guess it's like a failsafe "oh no" option that they put in (thank you!) the first option that should be on there is to "reset console" (or something along those lines) CLICK THAT!
Should be working after that.
