I was just wondering if it is possible that i can hook up my PS3 to the back of my computer to my HD4670 ATI RADEON graphics card with the HDMI slot thats available on it. So can I do it to play games?

No, that's an HDMI out.

Just connect it to your monitor, if it has an HDMI port. If theres a DVI port on your monitor, use hdmi-dvi cable.

Yes, and probably spend as much as you would for a new monitor in the process. And there is a good chance it wouldn't work. Not worth it.

No, that won't work. You can't cheaply connect a PS3 to a VGA monitor. You need a VGA to DVI converter and those cost in the realm of 50-80 dollars. Vga = analog, DVI/HDMI = digital. You can't mix and match the signals via a cable / simple adapter. It takes some electronics.

I bought a Composite to VGA adapter box about 2 years ago and it was the best one avalible $100... even the end product was a (light) snowy and blurry picture. It's just what happens when you process signals so much.

But I'd give this a try: http://www.amazon.com/StarTech-VGA2CPNT-Component-Video-Converter/dp/B000G6Y0S6/ref=sr_1_10?ie=UTF8&...

It's sold by Amazon.com so if it doesn't work or your not happy with it you can return it! :smileyhappy:

If you want 1080p via VGA, you can check out the HDFury. It will convert a 1080p HDMI signal to a 1080p VGA output.

32 inch Sony Bravia LCD TV- A few months after Warranty expires screen gets jumpy and colors start bleeding together. Take it in for service and was told the LCD panel needs replacement. The part will cost $1000 even thought the whole TV was less than $600 with tax. Sony doesnt want to help out with repairs and doesnt seem to want to make sure I replace with another Sony TV.

Solution - I purchased a 23 inch LG computer monitor with HDCP support. Has 3 inputs, HDMI, VGA, and DVI. I use this monitor for both my PC and PS3 and cost me $200. The screen is 16:9 and displays 1080p.

Im just saying.
