- Let us spell check our post. I use Google Chromes and with the exception of this forum, I am able to edit anything I type on the Internet. At least be sympathetic to Google Chromes users. Dat maens lek mei bei albe tu cureck diz sintinct. Well I am using Chrome and I can spell check... so... You're spouting out bull. I want to correct this word inside the parentheses (haz). What do I get? An option to remove the word, nothing else. Where did you get that out from?
Oh and make sure to actually listen to users suggestions and not just flat out ignore them. I don't see this as a terrible forum like most people, try to reduce that percentage. I think they are doing a great job at answering us, but sometimes they are just busy helping other users and other things they are required to do. If them time and again, pm them for quicker responses. Listening to a majority demand is kind of more important then what an individual is asking. More people will be satisfied and the community will be healthier. Note that I'm only comparing issues with forums.
Plus an additional demand. Please stop be so stringent with the word censor. Curse words, even the mild ones, I can understand, but normal words like f a i l and l o c k e d are by no means foul words and they should be removed from the filter words list immediately. Furthermore, I want a reason why those two words are censored.
The Mods know about this issue and are actively attempting at fixing this. Even they have had problems with this, so clearly they know this is an issue and know this needs to be fixed soon. At the moment, the censorship is VERY strict, so its just a jive setting, that's all. Can I type these words without it being censored? ****** (lock.ed), **** (fai.l), kiss (ki.ss). **** (ba.by).Should get a PS3 sometimes between January 1, 2011 to January 8, 2011, although I'm expecting it January 4, 2011 to January 7, 2011. Games that should come with it are Gran Turismo 5, Singstar, and Ratchet and Clank: A Crack In Time.
Sorry, when I meant nobody knows about the unlimited editing time, I meant nobody knows why it isnt unlimited. The mods are just saying at the moment to the general public that we can edit for 15 min after posting or until someone quotes your post, but like I said, maybe if you pm the mods, they will give you a more desirable answer.
And I just checked spell check for the word "haz" and got "haze", "hazy", "Hz", and "AZ". So it does work for Chrome.
But again with the user demands... Mods aren't miracle workers, give them time. Give them at least a month from the update to fix the forums until yelling and demanding. (in general)
Lastly, lmao yes the censorship is strict, that's why those words are censored... but the Mods are fully aware of this problem. Just again, give it time to be fixed.
WOW...this is my first time back since the changes were made...and what a complete and udder mess.
It took me like 15 minutes just to find this thread.
I too vote for changing it back or something, as these boards are now a lesson in futility and are anything but a forum like most of us are used to visitng.
I can't find a darn thing and with so many other forums out there, I am not going to spend the next week trying to figure out what should have been left alone in the first place. I thought the change to Lithuim from the original forums was a mess, but whoever came up with this mess ought to be awarded a special Platinum Trophy for going above and beyond for creating this nightmare.
This is no longer a forum, it is a shambles.
