Did you read your own link?

https://support.us.playstation.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/222/~/close-a-sony-entertainment-network-...

Once a Sony Entertainment Network account is created, you can not delete it.

Important: Purchased content cannot be transferred between different Sony Entertainment Network accounts.

Any content or services you or your Sub Accounts may have purchased that may be accessible on the PlayStation Network will not be available to you or your Sub Accounts, including any content that may have been downloaded to your PlayStation3 system(s). Other content that may be accessible offline may be available for use after termination of your Sony Entertainment Network account if permitted under the specific terms and conditions for the content.

If you have Sub Accounts associated with your Master Account, then your Sub Account holders will also not be able to access their Sub Accounts.

I know. But this time I found out this is all THEIR fault by a glitch which they refuse to fix. This isn't a legal loophole anymore.

Somebody posted almost the same thing a few weeks ago. If you are right in the status of yoru account on what you see vs. what Sony sees and the help desk can't help you you might have no other alternatvie. I don't however believe that it's as simple as a click to change what the type of account.

Sony has been dodging the change ID question for almost forever, if they could do it, you think we would have heard of it by now. I don't think they have the software savvy that people think they do. But still i'd see if you could tweet at platation or my email one of the playstation fansites to see if people can get you in touch with the right person.

I'm very familiar with it. Sure you would have lost content, but you never said anything about having any. You merely said you wanted a different name. The PSN ID can never be changed or deleted, however it can reside on the servers and you can have a new master account.

It doesn't matter as the username I wanted was messed up on their end. It was SUPPOSED to be a master account, but it wasn't made one. But how was I supposed to know this would be a problem 5 years later?

I think its your fault for making a sub account in the first place. If you didnt like your master account, why didnt you make a new master account instead of making a sub account under your old account? This is why i only make a master account and buy everything on that account only. Taking sony to court over ps plus is kinda stupid. You wont gain anything from it, you probably lose money hiring a lawyer and wasting your time.

You're kidding right Kali? Did you not read what I typed. IT WAS A GLITCH ON THEIR END. Everything about my account checks out as a master account. They even said it doesn't show my account as a sub account, but on my PS3 it does. If you put your birthday as over 18, it's AUTOMATICALLY A MASTER ACCOUNT. Sony said they don't know why it was made as a sub account.
