New user: Can I download saves from one PS3 to another?

2 replies 216 views Edited Apr 18, 2013

I have two PS3's in the house and like to use both depending on what others are doing. Can I download a save that I saved from one machine to the other? I use the same profile on each machine.

What about downloading the save to a friend's PS3? Would I have to log in with my profile first (I guess, duh, how else would it know, right?).

thanks.

If you are a Playstation Plus subscriber, and the PS3s are all connected to PSN, then yes.  You will of course have to have a login profile with your account on all of the PS3s that you want to use your save data on.  If you are not a Playstation Plus subscriber, or the PS3 you want to transfer to is not network connected, then you will be able to do this with about 90% of PS3 games by copying the data to and from a USB storage device like a flash drive.  About 10% of PS3 games do not copying to a different PS3 unless you use Playstation Plus online storage.
