So I just subscribed to Playstation Plus last month and like clock work my PS3 got the YLOD. It's dead. I downloaded some things from PS+ but I didn't use make any cloud saves (regretting that now). I already know that I am going to buy a PS4, which is why I got plus to begin with, but I am not sure when. Probably sooner now since I got no console to use now. I would like to get a new PS3 but I can't float the cost of both right now so probably not gonna happen any time soon if at all. Is there a way to delay my membership so I don't lose the 5 or more months of not being able to use the service until I get my PS4 or do I need to just cancel it and resubscribe later? And if I do need to cancel how can I do that without acess to my or any other PS3?
Also, is there any way to send messages to people I am friends with on my PS3 through my laptop so that I can notify them that I will not be on for the foreseeable future?

There's no point in trying to cancel really, you won't get your money back. You can try and call Sony to see if they would cancel it, but as I said, your money won't be returned to you. However you can still redeem your plus games by going here https://store.sonyentertainmentnetwork.com that way you would already have them redeemed and only need to download them when you get your new PS3.
