Final Fantasy XI (PS2)

ok FFXI is'nt exactly "dying out" if anything you're just bored because you leveled up some garbage job like DRG. and in case most of you did'nt notice this guy had an osode and a haidate which you can't exactly get by yourself, (the osode can be bought yes but the haidate is ex) which says to me he was most likely in a HNMLS which a lot of can and will generate gil for their members. Theres always other crap to camp such as KA that only take a few players provided you have the proper jobs and you're not a n00b. Anyway wb man hope you find some decent entertainment playing again Bismarck is pretty much a crap server anymore and even with all of SE's recent "banning of accounts" RMT still run rampant enjoy.

Off topic somewhat:  I'm getting my FF fix by playing FFXII.  Got it last week and been playing it soo much...lol.  Love it!  The way they kept it so you can see the mobs on the field like in FFXI is so nice.

Im hurt bronx! Cmon regular here since ps2 launch date!! Sometimes a break comes in handy, i really want to quit this game but i just cant seem to let go of all the time, effort and gil spent into my characters

Sell your character then report u sold it case solved.  Or sell all your gear then sell yoru character make the person earn it.

Wow this is so old!! Boy I really miss my guy!! havent played in over 3 years now!! FFXIII has really made me really miss this game that I spent countless hours into. Im getting the itch to jump back lol oh well maybe FFXIV. To all you out there still on FFXI keep on hunting!!

I'd like to play it again, i never made it all the way to 75. My WHM was close at I think 63 but I just couldn't go any further. At the time I was hard up for money to get decent gear for my level, everything had a cost of 320k to 1M gil and my average I would have on me was 50k-100k. Just thinking about that makes me shudder. As a WHM I had no way to farm for money, and I had no strength to level up another job that could.

The problem is, when I decided to quite I sold all my sellable gear and gave my money away to my linkshell, so all I have left is my WHM AF armor set and the AF weapon. Plus I have my santa hat the distributes cookies, can't forget that. But going in at level 63 with no money at all and no accesories (earings, rings, belt, back, ranged, etc) would be awfull. I'd spend half a year just getting that stuff back, and by that point FFXIV would be out.

So, my plan is to just hold out for FFXIV for a fresh start. Hopefully they make gil less of importance. That's one thing I liked about WoW, you had almost no need for gold in that game. All the good drops were soulbound on pickup instead of bought off the AH. In the endgame all I needed gold for was armor repair costs and buying consumables/enchantments.

If they copied anything from WoW, I would be most happy if it was just the decreased dependance on money and the many fast travel options. Getting my airship pass and chocobo in FFXI was probably the most glorious day in my life with that game...and it still would take forever to go from one side of the world to the other.
