You guys are luck you don't have a data cap. But every company wants an extra slice of the pie. So unless the government intervenes or the big 3 realize this could cost them money everyone will eventually have one. As to the comparison there is none. Home seems to run on a decent PS2 style at least graphically. As for social interaction I wouldn't know. I have a cap of 250 gigs a month and my moronic son doesn't get it that ISPs throttle your connection if they see you using torrents. So I am left out.
Pinball totally rules!
But in the entire time I've had this service, I've found that 300GB/mo is way more than enough to handle ANYTHING I do on the PS3, including online gaming, MMO's like FFXIV, HOME, downloading games from the PSN store, surfing the web, etc...
If you're going thru 250-300GB/mo...youre doing some MAJOR downloading and I'd be careful with that if I were you, cuz that kinda usage will red flag your ISP real quick and they'll either shut your net down, or send you an email warning or worse...investigate you for piracy or other illegial PC activities associated with torrenting.
But no, I dont think an MMO like FFXIV or even Home will drain your data cap in one month. Especially if thats all you do with your ISP.
