Well, not to mention, the point of these HD remasters is to let people replay games they either
A. No longer have/can no longer play
B. Introduce newer players to old, great games, without having them feel too graphically outdated.
It's not to WOW people visually (like a Remake or a Reboot would do)
I have seen over 200 copies of FFX available at my local Gamestop on PS2 Disk. So idk where you getting no longer play from. Maybe if your PS3 isn't B/C I guess would be the only reason one would have for buying this.
Well that's what I'm saying, a lot of people no longer have a PS2.
Plus, if they're the handheld type, they can now play it on the Vita and take it anywhere.
Having it on the Vita is pretty kewl. God knows that system needs all the games it could get.
While I love FFX, and I'm excited to play it again with trophies and all that. I gotta be honest I really would have rather had a FFVII remake. I also would rather they put some resources into Final Fantasy Versus 13 (or FFXV). Also I loath FFX-2, probably wont play it at all.
Once again, people don't realize how hard it'd be to remake FFVII (or any FF games before X)
X and beyond were fairly linear. No world map/overworld. No flyable airship. Just one huge connected world
Remaking FFVII would require MUCH effort to make it look realistic (since, before, having your character be the size of towns was perfectly acceptable)
I know, I realize it would be a lot of work, but fans have been clamoring for it for a long time. They would probably make a lot of money off of it, so it would be worth it.
I was just listening to the Final Fantasy X soundtrack in my car today, it's such a great soundtrack, "Suteki da ne" is one of my favorite songs as well. I heard about them remastering this into HD, but sort of forgot about it, now that I know it will be a reality soon, I can't wait to see it. I think FFX is my favorite Final Fantasy games. Can't wait to start dodging lightning on the Thunder Plains in HD, maybe it will be a bit easier. Maybe dodging seagulls will be easier too.
Mann! I was hoping this would be one game/pack we buy that is playable on both the PS3/Vita. Now I have to choose between systems? Is there at least some kind of bundle discount? Also I'm wondering how replicating R2/L2 works.
Is there a date yet? I am really looking forward reliving my experiences with Yuna, Tidus, and the whole Gang, seeing that my Backwards compatible Got the YLOD and my Ex Toasted my PS2 a few years back, I am patiently waiting...
Plus one of my children is named after a character in the game, and They are really looking forward to seeing how awesome the game is...
