Compared to IX (which is what I was talkin about) and just about any other game in the series? You're right X does suck.

Man I just started playing FF9 and I can't even get past the Beginning it's just so stupid!

FF8, tho FF7 was groundbreaking, and set a new standard for RPGs.
I liked the story, characters and battle system in 8 better. But, the materia system was very cool, better than the draw system in FF8.

I preferred FF8 over FF7 although both are great games. I preferred the GF's, cutscenes and magic system of FF8. FF7 had its additional Weapons to defeat but I hated the Gold Saucer, especially the GP system.
