Soul Calibur 5: Critical Edges

3 replies 1436 views Edited Feb 2, 2012

Today I got my copy from best buy today and it's been fun except for one thing. "Critical edges" I looked up the tutorial for these buggers on youtube and it said "UP,UP,R2" For about like a hour I was in training trying to do this. Then I find out that the combo's aren't exactly that easy as everyone was raving about on all those youtube videos. Maybe it's just because i'm a noob, but I can only get them if roll my thumb over the d-pad like crazy and get lucky. Is there anyway to make this easier? Probably not :/

Please no harsh comments and reply soon! ^^

Every character has their own Brave Edge combos, but the generic command for a Critical Edge attack is Down, Diagonal (down/forward), Forward (x2), A+B+K (which is R2's default). The motion takes some time to get used to, especially if you're a newcomer to the series. You'll get it eventually.

*down and left or right* It's:

Diagonal, diagonal (twice) (toward the opponent) and then R2.

I took me doing it like 100 times in training but then I had it. I think it's pretty easy now.
