For those who play using just the dual shock 2 and not arcade sticks...

3 replies 220 views Edited Jan 14, 2013

For as long as I can remember my left thumb would start to hate me after about 20~ minutes of gameplay when it comes to fighters. So this past year I began to get myself in the habit of using the analogue stick instead. For games like  MvC, SC, and SF that seems to work well. But for titles such as MK and Tekken, I can only function using the d-pad. Even for controllers that I have had for a while, d-pad usage with fighters kills me. So it's not the buttons sticking or being stiff that's the problem.

So my question is, am I the only one with this (what I think is weird) issue? Or are there others out there who feel my pain (literally)?

Also, do most of you guys stick with using the d-pad?

I am no good on arcade sticks so don't even suggest that lol...

I'm the same way. Since MK uses simple controls for actions such as d+f/d+b, I just use the d-pad for exact input. It just feels wrong to play Tekken with the analog stick lol. SF & MvC are better suited for the analog stick because of it's QC/HC/FC commands imo.

Running into this with DOA5 right now. Side of my thumb starts hurting from putting in commands on the D-Pad so I either ease up to moves I know aren't going to stress it or use the Analog for a few minutes to give the thumb some rest =\

Now Playing: Final Fantasy X HD
