HORRIBLE ENDING!!

6 replies 18 views Edited Feb 14, 2010

I'm new to Fallout 3, going at this Oblivion style... Main Quest 1st, Free-roam 2nd... and so I reached I get to the end, and that's it. Game Over. I haven't seen a game over like Fallout 3, since Junglebook on the Sega Genesis. You can't resume you're character or continue any more quests.

I went from this being my all-time fav RPG ever, to hating this game. Don't think I care about Vegas anymore.

Uninstalling as I speak. Worst. Game. Ever.

If it was just the ending that ruined it for you, then buy Broken Steel. This will allow you to continue the game indefinitely and offers a level cap increase (from 20 to 30) and new perks.

You just need to install BS, then play through the ending as you normally would. The game will go through the ending scene, the whole "War never changes" thing. Then it fades to black and a message saying "3 weeks later" (or something like that) and you will wake up in the Citadel.

If you have installed BS, just reload to your last save and start playing. If, for some reason, the game still ends, try deleting the Game Data. If that doesn't work, you will need to re-download BS. This glitch has happened to some folks, but it doesn't appear to be too common.

Broken Steel also gives you the ability to picks a few different options during the normal ending choice.
