Well, "best games out there," I don't really think so. I mean they are good games, but nowhere near the best. Their writing department is one of the worst out there, and there buggy games give them low marks. Now, if Bethesda's gameplay department teamed up with Obsidian's writing department they would easily trump BioWare (not too hard since they've been sucking since Dragon Age: Origins). I was bought out by Oblivion because of the next-gen graphics and that game still looks awesome today, but Fallout: 3 could not buy me out because the writing and voice acting was so terrible. Anyways, I hope that Bethesda took some tips from Obsidian when they wrote the storyline for Skyrim. Does anyone like a good story anymore?

Every game Bethesda produces for the ps3 gets the most horrible support. This is the last one I get for the ps3.
If I ever feel driven to buy another title produced by Bethesda, it will be for the PC. It doesn't get much support from them but at least the mods are able to patch it up pretty well.
I'm still amazed that anything this broken can get released.

So, the excuse it is okay to release broken game with full of bugs? Have you heard of the proper testing and quality control before shipping a product?
That's the reason why most games are shipped with full of bugs because the developers and publishers know gamers will still buy them broken anyway. The next question is if the bugs get fixed quickly or ignored. If the bugs don't get fixed, then it's showing the developer and publisher don't care about quality control.

Well time for me to put my two cents in:
I have about 55+ hours into this game and my character is lvl 32. Didnt have much freezing problems in the beginning. I did have some, so I took the precautions by cutting off the radio(which su cks because its quiet and no music to listen to), turning the kill cam off, turning auto save off(only for sleeping I have it on), clearing out the game data, walking slow so the background has time to load(sometimes I stop walking completely because it gets so bad), save often, and i create new save no over-writing. But now holy sh it. Freezing a lot and frame rate drops/ choppy-ness. I started noticing that the game started to freeze a lot when my save files hit around 6 to 7 mb. now my save files are at 8mb. and I cant play no more than 30 min if that at a time. now I'm sad to say my original launch date 60gb ps3 died last week (which sucks because I still have those nostalgic ps1 and ps2 games i still like to play). I was playing fallout when it happen. I'm not saying fallout killed my ps3 but I'm sure it didnt help with all the freezing and hard shutdowns on it. and I have always kept good care of my ps3. I kept it dust free, no smoking in my room or around it, vacuumed out once a month, and I wipe it down with a micro-fiber cloth(keep it nice and shiny). Now I just bought the 320gb ps3 with the move bundle for $350 a couple of days ago, pretty good deal I believe, move is pretty fun too. but I havnt played fallout on it yet. because I'm a little worried about it to tell the truth. i have the dlc dead money for it, havnt played that yet. so the jist of my story is the game freezes a lot when you get big save files, a lot of frame rate drops in some places, but the game is a great game to play when it works right(not counting the freezing and countless bugs/glitches). and for the people that say they never had a problem, have 80+ hours no problems, or 1 or 2 freezes here n there, please by all means go buy a lotto ticket and when you win hit me up. peace

Wow, frightening stuff. My circumstances are very similar, except my launch day 60gb fatty has not died yet. About 50 hours played. Last save was 11MB and freezing regularly. I may not play this again for fear of YLOD, which is a great shame as I have really enjoyed it in the main.
NB. The next Elder Scrolls can break 5 PS3 if it wants and I won't mind ha ha

I started the game few days ago and it froze just a couple of minutes after leaving the doctor. Then it keeps freezing in the wasteland. Yesterday it froze when I decided to sleep!! I was scared to death that it corrupted the autosave. So not only we have to save often, but also make new saves.
Fallout games on PS3 are a joke. This time I waited for the price drop (and thus the patches) confident that it could only be better in terms of bugs than F3. Not a chance. F:NW is a bug feast. Sometimes I wonder why I keep giving Bethesda my money. At least this time I paid the game 30% of its original price. Let's hope for the new game (and graphics?) engine.

What you have to do is go to your web browser, click on tools and then go to where it says "clear cache". You have to clear the cache periodically or it will cause the game to freeze on you. It will also affect other games you play but may not be very noticeable on them. If you do this, it makes the game play much, much better. This game IS playable and is a lot of fun. I practically live in that game!

I DL'd it when I went on earlier, but now I can't access Dead Money or my DL'd costume. Guess I've gotta wait until PSN store is back up to re-download the stuff.

I've got the game since it came out and haven't had any freezes since the last patch. I've also got Dead Money and the only grief that is giving me is that you can't LEAVE it once you start and getting to the end of it is one of the biggest pains there is... but no glitches or freezes so far.
