Fallout 3 and New Vegas Save Imports to GOTY Versions?

3 replies 859 views Edited Jul 30, 2012

I was wondering if it was possible to import a save from the original version of the game in to a game of the year edition.

I have both original versions but would like to play all the dlc so I might try to pick the GOTY versions up.

Is this possible?

Yes, unless you buy a disc that is of a different region. For example, if you buy a GOTY edition from a different country(ebay or used), the save file may not be compatible.

As long as you live in the U.S. you should be fine.

There were issues with the Canadian version, but I've never heard of an issue with the U.S. version
