Fallout 3 GOTY edition - How many hours to complete?

5 replies 488 views Edited Jan 17, 2013

So, I never really gave this game a chance the last time I bought it, but I'm giving it a try again. I was wondering how many hours I'm looking at, when doing all side quests incl. dlc? I'm hoping a 100 hours or more.

You can easily spend 100 hours on it. I think I spent over 100 hours on it even without the dlc. All depends on how you play it. Some people rush through it but I like to explore as much as possible.

Thanks for the reply. That's good to know. I like to explore and do most if not all side missions too.

Yeah, to do a complete playthrough without the dlc has got to be somewhere in the 100 hour range. Especially if you try and complete all the freeform quests.

I'll bet the dlc would add anywhere from 10 to 50 hours on to that, depending on your play style. Add to that the fact that Broken Steel allows you to play indefinitely and the sky is the limit.

youd have to play it more than once to do everything, and use the wiki.

I did every main, side, and unmarked quest and discovered every location. I used the wiki to help find notable loot at each location.  Take the explorer perk to help get to all the locations.  I started it a year and a half ago and just finished last night.  With all the dlc's and the original game, I put 275 hrs into it.  I am obviously a scavenger, explorer, and completionist, but you can easily get 100 hrs out of it.
