Using Metacritic as a reliable source of game reviews/scores? Not helping your case. The game is awesome, will it sell billions of copies? Probably not, but NT managed to shut up all "DMC true fans" that only said this game was gonna suck just because Dante's hair is black, most of them didn't play this game and thats and insult to the franchise and what the followers of the series represent.

but Metacritic is a reliable source of game reviews and score. it takes scores from other sites and accumulates them into an over all total. how is that reliable?

It is a hit it actually was said a few reviews its action game of the year status. And that its the best in the series. And that it put devil may cry back on top of its throne read the reviews

Metacritic gave it a 2.3 IGN gave it a 8.9. Out of 10 gamespot gave it 8 out of 10 .Xbox magazine I believe they gave it 9.0 out of ten the Japanese reviewers even gave it to 8s and a 9. Gamemaster 89.00 out of 100.00.
Lowest it got was a 7 and it only got one 7 and the review was complete bull. I know what I'm talking bout face it if devil may cry makes a comeback soon its cause of DMC Devil may cry

Played demo got to say it is a dmc game and deserves its good scores Music is what you would expect from a dmc game.
Gameplay-most fun in the series yes I played all the dmc games and beat them all on dante must die except dmc1 and thats because I wasn't interested enough. Voice for dante PERFECT for the youngest dante yet.
And story great and the cannon dmc should be as story driven. Hands down best in the series.

Im sorry but reviews dont make a game a hit. Sales make it a hit and it would have to surpass the four million that devil may cry four made to be the success Capcom wanted.

Because it takes every review out there, haters who give a 0 or fanboys who give a 100, is not accurate. And maybe the  people that reviewed DMC4 are not the same that did it with DmC, different standars, different points of view.

PSLS gave it an 8 out of 10. 

Sales decide whether a product is a hit or not, unfortunately. It's too early to tell.
