best way to get unstuck??

i beat the game once but i think i did too early now on new game plus im getting owned by just about everything / whats the best way to grind my way out of this hole?

If you can get past 1-1 then you should be fine. Just keep farming souls at 4-1 until you can level up more.

well ive gotten past the phalanx but beyond that i get punked lol / ill try 4-1 and just run in and out to stack souls /
