Moved to our Demon's Souls section. 

This is indeed a sad day.  I have a new character I created a while ago that I'd like to get though the game before the servers shut down, but I keep getting distracted by Dark Souls and shiny new releases.

I heard about this yesterday. I bet there be an influx of people playing the game these next two months. Hopefully, they will host some special events in the coming months. Like forced the servers to Pure Black.

Wow, of all the games for this to happen to.

I just got my Nephew into the game and was going to roll a new character to co-op the game with him. Guess we better get it done in a hurry.

Why would your plat go bye bye? You don't need to do anything online to get it and a plus you will never have to worry about getting invaded so you could play with full health the whole game.

Oh? I always thought there were a couple of trophies that were co-op only?
I guess its a matter of wanting the Plat bad enough to withstand the foolishly low drop rate of PBS (nope, still dont have one oafter four playthroughs and many hours farming)own.

Still, sad to see the servers going down. So many lesser games live on for far longer.

I had someone drop the Pure Bladestone for me. I think he got one and just duped a bunch of them to help people out. Personally, I don't see any skill in spending hours farming two enemies to try and get one item to drop. I gave it maybe 4 hours and then said to myself this is crazy.

The only thing you will not be able to get after the servers go offline would be the Monk's Head Wrap which is not needed for any trophy.

There are also two rings that will become worthless. The Foe's Ring and the Friend's Ring.......you can get them without any co-op or PVP though but it is a bit harder.

I am going to have to find someone willing to give me a few of the rarer stones, and a couple of the harder to get rings. I just dont have the time to dedicate to farming them anymore (new job).

As far as the Monks head wrapping, its not really worth getting. Unless you like the look.

The Binded head piece you get from Executioner Miralda is much better (stats wise)

Actually it depends what stats you are looking for. If you are a Mage then the Monks Head Wrappings are much better then the Binded head piece.

At the risk of starting a forum war  ;-)  

Theres no better mage armor in the game than the Executioners armor.
Its ugly as sin though, ugh
