I bought this game on launch day and just finally finished it last night (I wanted to enjoy my time with it.)
Here are my thoughts.
* I disliked the saving system. It made me miss the old "Save Stations" from the previous 2 games.
I felt forced to play until I hit a save point so I could pause it and select "Save and Quit."
When before, if I needed to turn off my game, I could just run to the closest save station -- save -- and turn it off.
* I loved the new bench mechanics. It made Issac really feel like an Engineer this time around. Plus, just experimenting with gun combonations was fun.
* The story was long and fullfilling.
* I'm 30 and it still made me jump/get creeped out in certain areas.
Sure, the game is not as "scary" as Dead Space 1 was, but heck, even Dead Space 1 isn't scary to me anymore.
Because I've played it and know what to expect.
Now I'd just love to experience the game in Co-Op.
I did all the "Optional Side Missions" except the ones that say Co-Op only.
The game seems boring
If you've read the plot of the series, seen videos, pictures, etc, and it still doesn't seem like your cup of tea? -- Then don't play it.
You probably wouldn't like it. Simple as that.
DEAD SPACE SUCKS THEY ALL DIE AT THE END WHY
You must be speaking about another game then, friend.
I don't remember a Dead Space game (yet) where "everyone" dies at the end.
