I hope someone can figure out this issue. I have a Linksys/Cisco E3000. My ps3 is directly wired in to the router and i'm STILL having Strict NAT and off and on issues of joining games. I have NO other issues with any other games on the ps3 which lists my NAT is open or moderate at most. I have put my ps3 in a DMZ, forwarded the ports that I could find listed on the internet (for dead space 1 and some other EA made games) and everything comes to NO avail.
On top of that, regardless of my connection I experience the worst lag. Enemies wil kill me after they have been dead for 5-10 seconds. I will see a necro player swinging away at nothing 20 feet away then start getting hit by him miraculously as he is still 20 feet away. Idk if this is just me as the lag seems to have its advantages of me being able to get out of harms way then take out a necro (only to die by the same necro shortly after doing so). So I sometimes end up with a score around the general ballpark of everyone else.
I also have NEVER been in a room where connection statuses of anyone in the room were above 1 bar. Sometimes they'll spike to full bars but otherwise remain at 1. Right now it is still playable but highly frustrating.
MY question is: does anyone know ports used by EA on the ps3? I wonder if their specific ports being used are having an issue, but I still do not understand why if i'm directly wired to the ps3 I would have network issues. I am going to try to connect wirelessly and see what happens.

I figured out EA server ports via their support section. I'm actually on college internet so no matter if I unblock ports or not it probably won't matter seeing as the source has majority of ports not opened. Well I hope EA releases a patch for this, or some form of fix. I love Dead Space and hate to see my online experience (as well as others reporting the same problem accross the internet) suffer due to something lame such as this, especially seeing as all other games that are non EA function flawlessly.

I do hope they fix this shit too, but what really stumps me is that i can throw on Call of Duty: Black Ops and it says my NAT is OPEN, i get into games like nothing, my Internet Config on the ps3 even says the NAT type is type 2, like what the fuck EA, is there no fix to this problem? how the hell am i supposed to play this wonderful multiplayer with level progression when i can barely get into a match? EA, seriously? what thee fcuk....
