Dead Space Series

When I get some money maybe I'll think about getting a Dead Space game. Don't plan on waiting for 3.

So which one is best? 1 or 2? And do any of them have any type of local multiplayer?

Buy both. Used, new, whatever it takes. And there is no local MP in either.

Definitely start with 1. If you like it, continue on to 2.

1 introduces the universe to you, and you will have a better understanding of the weapons.

ya dead space 2 has multiplayer but u wanna start from the begining it's pretty epic

if i were you... i would go for the first 1. it delivered a more scary feeling than the 2nd one, i felt so claustrophobic and alone throughout almost the entire game. btw if your wondering about dead space 2's multiplayer... i dont really think much good stuff about it, when im playing, i always get screwed over by humans if im a necromorph (alien). When im a human, i always have these teamates who like to go lone wolf, i always get butt raped by every necromorph in the game. If everyone on the Dead space 2 community were team players...then i might say you should get the second one.

Definately start with 1.  Still a great game and I still play it when I get bored.  Then get 2.  3 is coming, and you will want to be up to date on the story lines.

The original Dead Space is the better game IMO. Definitely start with that.
