Just wondering if you leave a covenant via Oswald (the priest you meet in the Undead Parish after ringing the 1st bell), do you still lose your rank within that covenant?

I'm currently a Warrior of Sunlight +2 and would hate to lose half the medals I contributed to improve my status. Read elsewhere that if you leave with Oswald, you're not penalized (i.e. no hostility built up)... but it didn't explicitly address rank though and if it remains the same as when you left should you rejoin later. Just wanted to be sure b4 I explore the other covenants. Thx & sorry if this has been answered elsewhere on this forum.

I tried this soon after release and i did lose my ranks. They might have changed it since then, but i doubt it seeing as it's not mentioned in any of the patch notes

Yup, tried it and i lost my Darkwraith+1 rank.
