I'm glad they included the ability to download songs because the song list that is included is not all that great.

Re: THE OFFICIAL DDR For Playstation 3 and Playstation 2INFO(Song List)

Aug 22, 2009

Delayed to Jan or March next year, man that blows.  How hard is it really to develop one of these games?

I really like the backgrounds and presentation of DDR in Extreem 2, the strange characters dancing around in tron land from universe really went down the wrong path.  Personally I wish they would just get rid of the characters all together and just have some dynamic backgrounds that are unique for each song (or have the videos that went along with the licensed songs).

Does anyone care to guess at the pricing model for the downloadable songs.  With 150 songs if they were a dollar a peice that's quite a bit of change.

...you might want to change that post commandbeastmode, as i am going to reveal to you guys a "premiere" video that was shown at Gamescon...and trust me, after seeing the video, you might want to change your minds about the PS3 version of the game

Okay the video really does give me hope for the presenation, I do like that it looks customizable.  Hopefully we can keep the music videos as well.

I like being able to download the songs from every previous game, hopefully the pricing is reasonable.  I'd like it if they don't make you download every song individually and let you get an unlimited pass to download all of them.

Re: THE OFFICIAL DDR For Playstation 3 and Playstation 2INFO(Song List)

Glad i can help! ^_^

As for the DLC pricing goes, were still not sure as to what the DLC prices will be, whether it will be individual songs or even song packs for their respective mixes (e.x. DDR1stMix pack, DDRMAX pack, DDR SuperNOVA pack, etc.)

Hmmmm my GUESS would have to be that one song could run between $0.49 to $0.99 (if i were to talk about Guitar Hero songs and Rock Band songs, DDR songs range from 1 minute to 2 minutes, so basically their price would be reduced since the songs aren't that long for the game...but this is JUST MY GUESS).

If so, then song packs could range from $2.99 all the way to $9.99 (That also depends on just HOW MANY songs are in the pack too....)

All in all, i am saving my money for this game + it's DLC, i don't know how, but i am planning on getting ALL DLC songs just for the songlist purposes and just because =P.

I would also like to point out that there are TWO POSSIBLE DLC songs OR songs that are going to be in the game and are CONFIRMED through the trailer.

These songs are:
Pluto The First (First Appearance - Hottest Party 1 JP)
KEEP ON MOVIN'

So far, these songs ONLY appear on the PS3/360 version, so it is still unknown if these two songs will appear on the PS2 and/or Wii version.

The video makes it awesome!  Can't wait.  I didn't know they would release entire packs of songs (MAX, MAX2, Extreme, Extreme2, etc.) which could make this deal even sweeter!  I mean, I still own all those mixes from my Ps2, but if I could put all those songs into one game for easier accesibility I would totally pay for them again.  Hope you're right on the pricing, though I bet it will be more.  Just because the songs are shorter isn't going to mean much, and I'm sure Konami is aware of how much money Rockband is making with their DLC being 1.99 a song... I'm hoping for $1 a song on DDR but I wouldn't be the least bit suprised if it was more.
