This is so funny seeing you guys from the DDR Community!
Looks like the PS3 release has been delayed until March 2010 with the PS2 release still on track for October.

Well, think of it like this, i have been waiting and waiting for a PS3 DDR to come out since the PS3 was announced and released to the public. Around that time, SuperNOVA was released in the US and later on in Japan. So after that release, i would have thought that they would release a PS2 and PS3 mix of SuperNOVA 2, turns out, they didn't. Same went for X, i would have thought they would have done a PS2 and PS3 release of X, but they didn't.
And finally, we now have a "universal" release of this game coming out this fall, where the songs are basically the same, except now if you get the PS3 or 360 version, you get "octo-mode" and the +150 DLC songs for your choosing. OMG! THEY FINALLY ANNOUNCED A DDR FOR THE PS3! So when i heard this, i was excited, but then i saw the E3 Trailer...and to me, that tid bit of what was shown of for the PS3/360 version didn't really get much of my approval for it. The dancer (I guess it looked like Yuni) was just very...i don't know how to describe it, but it was just pretty bad, and the arrows look A LOT like the Stepmania 4 arrows. When i heard that all four games were to come out on October 27th, i thought "Man...this is going to be a tough choice". Personally, i DO WANT to get the PS3 version, but if that version doesn't look "DDR enough" then we might have a problem. At around this time, I was having a conflict as to which version to get, the PS2 or PS3 version.
Soon later, a couple of game sites then listed the PS3 and 360 version to come out on Q1 2010. Normally, i thought that this was the European release dates for that region, but if it was, they would have AT LEAST said it was for the Europe region, and not anywhere in the US (which if you look, the game sites are not of their respective region). This gave me a theory that this could be Konami TRYING to fix the game a lot better than what was shown from the small trailer at E3 and that with a couple more months, they can get it right. This, i thought, was a smart move on their end.
To put it simply, i don't want a game that was "half-assed", if a game has to be constantly fixed for whatever reason, it shouldn't really make that much sense. LBP is an exception, the creators made the game EXTREMELY right when it first shipped out, then they would update it with a few more stuff for the players to enjoy. I just REALLY hope that this delay means that they are fixing this game up right, but i am also not saying that fixing it up through online updates is such a bad idea, having online updates is a GREAT thing! Makes everyone know that AT LEAST Konami is taking care of their game instead of just handing it to us and saying "Here ya go, enjoy" and then running off somewhere. But if they have to CONSTANTLY update it almost every single time you log on or something just shows that they didn't get it right the first time, that or there were A LOT of problems the first time around when the game was released that they didn't see coming.
*long sigh* wow...and i just got up and i type this much on one post? Man...i need some breakfast XD.
