Hi everyone I have been having problems with my ps4 and its sharing capabilities. My issue that I am facing is that the system does not constantly record the last 15 minutes of gameplay from the ps4 and instead typically records 15 minutes of random gameplay from usually the hour earlier and saves that when I hit the share button as opposed to the most recent 15 minutes of gameplay. The screen shot taken when the share button is pressed works fine but it seems to always screw up with the recording. I am wondering if anyone else is having this problem as well or if there is any permanent fix for this issue as of yet that I am not aware of. Here is a link to a forum on another website that is discussing this very problem that I am having. http://www.playstationlifestyle.net/2013/12/26/ps4
I am mainly posting this on this forum so that others having the same problem can voice their problems and concerns so that Sony will hopefully see them and address the problem because I am definitely not the only one that is experiencing it.
The only sure fire way I know to make sure that it will record when you want it to is to double click the share button which will trash the previous unsaved recording and start a new one. So to ensure you will record every match you are playing you would have to double click the share button at the beginning of every match. Its kind of a pain but that's the only way to get it work every time that I am aware of. The thing that is annoying about the whole thing is I have Google this problem and was only able to find one forum about the issue so it sounds like not enough people are being vocal about this issue which means Sony probably wont notice and fix it >=(. Hope the double clicking thing helps you though!
there is a long running post on this topic... i know there is at least 2 for sure..
if you check page 37 of that post you'll also see that the share feature is getting some new features in the coming week and we are all hoping that the share button also gets fixed. until then keep tweeting the president of sony on his twitter feed at @yosp
Double clicking doesn't always work for me. An admin on this forum said that Sony was looking into it. I'm not quite sure if this is true though.
i can tell you that the president of sony knows of this problem. he tweeted on his twitter feed. so there is hop that it'll get fixed. unless they think its not a big deal
