PS3 bluetooth headset problems

12 replies 15334 views Edited Mar 6, 2012

Hey everyone, I'm having a few problems connecting my bluetooth headset, I had a headset before which was a remote one, but didn't work with the PS3 (worked with PC etc) I now have bought a offical PS3 headset, but I can't seem to get it to connect, I've check loads of "how-to's" and done exactly as said, does anyone know how to fix it, has anoyone else had this problem? Could there be something wrong with the PS3?

Is the headset fully charged?

Do your wireless controllers work properly in wireless mode?

Does the indicator light show the headset has paired in automatic mode?

Afterwards, does it show up in the Audio Accessory Settings in input and output devices?

Try letting the headset charge until full, and trying the automatic pairing steps in the article that I've linked in a few hours. If it pairs successfully, visit the Audio Accessory settings and see if the headset shows up under Input and Output devices. You might have to choose the I/O device and toggle through the various options. Make sure the Bluetooth headset is selected. See if it picks up your voice.

FIXED...Paired but not connecting issue with Motorola H17 Like many here I was able to pair my Bluetooth with four digit code, 0000, however it wouldn't connect. Solution found on my bluetooth manual, restore to factory settings: Caution: This action erases all pairing information stored in your headset. To restore your headset to original factory settings, with the headset turned on, press and hold both the Volume Up and Volume Down buttons and Call button for 10 seconds until you hear “welcome to the Motorola H17” and the indicator light is steady blue. Delete bluetooth on ps3. Afterwards I simply followed the pairing process, and it worked, and noticed how the Bluetooth indicator on my ps3 would stay solid blue. Hope this helps.
