Hey everyone,

Here's a list of the currently known PS4 error codes that the majority of you guys appear to be experiencing, please feel free to add others you're getting if they're not listed below along with a short explanation of what was happening or what you were doing at the time & I'll update the Thread.

CURRENT KNOWN PS4 ERROR CODES:

1. "NW-31453-6"

It occurs along with message "The network connection has been lost". Gamers are greeted which this message as soon as they try to login to PSN via PS4.

POSSIBLE FIXi: This might be due to heavy traffic that PSN is experiencing at the moment, the advice is to be patient and try logging in again later. If it fails again, do check the status of PSN Network on official Playstation Blog, it might be offline due to some maintenance work.

2. CD-30774-1: "Could Not Find The Update File"

Error Code CD-30774-1 Apears to mostly occur when you have replaced the standard 500GB HDD that comes with the console with another one which is not supported. Please Note that replacement HDD for PS4 should not be thicker than 9.5mm, 5400 RPM SATA II.

POSSIBLE FIX
: If you are getting PS4 Error Code CD-30774-1 after you replace 500 GB HDD with a new one, the advice is to undo it and everything will work fine.

If you want to know which HDD are currently available in market that are compatible with PS4, Click HERE.

3. CE-32958-7: Cannot Launch Application.

This occurs when the application you are trying to launch in not updated with latest patch/firmware. So just make sure all your applications and also PS4 console is updated with the latest firmware. Right Now for PS4 the firmware is 1.50 & is available for download, it's a mandatory update and the file size is around 308 MB. The advice you to download and install it via USB, HERE is step-by-step guide detailing how you can do this. Also follow below steps to firmware update failure issue

  4. You'll see your download there. As soon as it stops, click on it there and it will resume from where it left off.

4. NW-31200-6: This is related to PS4 Firmware 1.50

This occurs when as soon as you start downloading PS4 firmware 1.50, it starts up perfectly but suddently the download stops giving an error code Error NW-31200-6.

Furthermore, gamers are reporting that downloading firmware 1.50 files to USB is of no use because when it is put in PS4 for installation it says "File Is Corrupt".

FIX
: The advice is to to please be patient, Sony are looking into this issue. Make sure you are downloading a proper file for you REGION, different regions will have different files.

6. NW-31297-2 - Submitted by 'poutinizer - Reason & fix currently unknown.

7. CE-34878-0 - Submitted by glaciusx25 -  Reason given:

Every single time I attempt to play COD Ghosts when signed into PSN, with the 1.03 update installed (I have deleted/re-installed it over 6 times now). Crashes game, sends me back to menu.

This also happened twice on Killzone, but hasn't happened recently.

Current FIX - Unknown.

8. CE-33991-5 - Submitted by Kaizen_Zanshin

This occurs when I have attempted to connect to the Internet through the PS4. I can connect to my router and successfully obtain an IP address but connecting to Internet fails and this code shows up.

FIX - Possibly because PSN is shown as currently down /  under maintenance.

9. CE-30784-2 - Submitted by MrNobodyWTB -

The USB storage device is not connected. Before using my console for the first time I am updating the hard drive to a 1TB. Sony's documentation is unclear that there were 2 different updates (3xxMB for stock and 8xxMB for upgraded hard drives). The first time I tried updating the console to 1.5, was with the stock file. My USB drive flashed, the console scanned, but ultimately failed. The second try (after finding out about the hard drive upgrade file) the PlayStation 4 is not recognizing my USB flash drive. I've made sure that the drive is formatted to FAT32, that the folder names are correct and nothing.

10. SU -30696-4 - Submitted by J_Heisenberg_20

This code relates to most things that require PSN, currenlty OSN is down or under maintenance.

FIX: Wait for PSN to be more stable / less busy.

I hope the above was somewhat helpful, if you have experienced other codes not listed please let me know along with a short explanation of what was happening at the time & I'll add them.

ce-33991-5 - This occurs when I have attempted to connect to the Internet through the PS4. I can connect to my router and successfully obtain an IP address but connecting to Internet fails and this code shows up. Edit - this happens when I connect via Wifi or Lan.

Is this due to the PSN being down? I can use it for offline content but that's it. Any help would be appreciated.
