Just tried this guys and I solved it. Here's what I tried initially. My error was NW 31297 2
1) Safe mode (didnt work)
2) Replug router (didnt work)
3) Restart PS4 (didnt work)
4) Change wifi channel (didnt work)
5) Reset router to factory settings (didnt work)
So I searched the error on youtube and found this video and it solved it
In short you change your primary DNS to 220.127.116.11 and secondary to 18.104.22.168 when setting up. I don't really know what DNS does but I connected so if none of those worked like mine then try changing your DNS. I'm copy pasting this to multiple threads so I can help people out if this fixes it.
Doesn't work. I absolutely hate sony's customer support. Its worse than ATT and that's pretty sad. I'm stuck with a useless paper weight. And they make 0 effort to fix this problem. Was told to use LAN connection and deal with it. I can't access any of my games.
Yup that's what they told me too , get your service provider to remove firewall ( which they refused to do) or use LAN which I can't as the connection is in different part of building or just suck it up!
1- Still have it
2- Using both doesn't work
3- PS4 pro
4- Using Cisco- Linksys WRT 160N router
5- WEP work but **bleep** SLOW or without password.... if want to use WAP2/Personnal even with TKI or AES don't work
1. Yes. It's been three days. I've tried hard resetting my router, power cycling my PS4, and initializing it through safe mode. Nothing is working.
3. WPA/WPA2 PSK
5. Netgear CG300D
