Customer Service told me to do the manual disc eject method even though the was no disc in the system and they have a walkthrough that explains it all and it worked for me so far

Re: [INFO] Issues with ejecting PS4 discs - Auto eject solution

Mar 28, 2014

i had the same problem but it was still there even if the consloe was upright but i found out how to fix it

the problem is feet on the ps4 if you look closely at the eject button/heat sensor the plastic foot is all most

touching the button just remove the foot and the problem is gone to remove the feet just simpley give a slight pull on the center of the foot

I did this. As well as did the rebuild data base solution. It worked for a few days then went back to spitting disks out and not accepting them

Re: [INFO] Issues with ejecting PS4 discs

Mar 28, 2014
So, I sent my PS4 off because of it randomly beeping at times and then it wouldn't accept a disc once. Received a new console and I've had it about two weeks, and I wake up this morning to it beeping. The power was off (not in standby mode). I just unplugged it and have left it that was this morning. I live in MN and the console is in my basement , could this have anything to do with it? It's also in a a slot on my entertainment center, the hole it's in is probably two feet wide, 18 inches tall and 20" deep.

Where do you all store your PS4?

SOLVED this is a problem with the rubber feet just under the physical eject button on the console. Either remove this rubber foot or make sure that it is not touching the rear of the eject button.

I don't see how this could be the issue though as mine, and others, are vertical so there shouldn't be any pressure from the rubber feet unless it's a really really bad design and even without the weight of the system this happens. I am glad that this apparently fixed your system though and you don't have to wait for over a month to get a working ps4 back to you!

No solution. I shutdown at night leaving Need For Speed in. The ps4 just comes on by itself and the disc is ejected, kept ejecting for a while then shutdown and restarted  ... the system is in a cool place lying down. Will monitor it ...

Works for awhile...but it just happened again..**bleep**....Sony are you listening?
