**bleep** shame this is happening. It sounded like there was a huge level of excitement from fans waiting to get their hands on theire new Console. Now people are going to be left scorned and bitter, I hope Sony mans up and comes out with an Official Statement soon. There's no doubt in my mind this is great than the 0.04% Hardware errors they were covering it up as.
(Edit) Lol how is the D a m n word bleeped out >_>
I get that. I'm one of those people. I've only ever had a Wii before (I'm a super casual gamer), but I wanted to play Kingdom Hearts which is coming out in a few months. I did all my research, talked to a bunch of people, and was so excited to order as soon as it was put on sale. Needless to say, I'm super bummed that mine's a brick. So, maybe a bunch of the comments are fakes, but my disappointment is genuine, and I'm sure there are others like me as well.
I already left my 1-star Amazon review with an Amazon Verified Purchase tag, so I don't need to answer to some forum kid who thinks I'm making things up. Nor would I waste my time posting on these boards if I wasn't unhappy about getting a $400 paper weight in the mail today that I won't be able to use for at least a week, and that's if I am lucky.
But hey, Sony is the one losing money over this. I canceled my two Amazon orders for Madden and NBA 2k and will be placing them for the Xbox One instead, as I have that console preordered as well. Sony had a chance to solidify itself as my third-party platform of choice (the 360 took that title last generation because, let's face it, the 360 controller is wildly superior to the DS3) and immediately blew it.
My PS4 was working for a few hours and then it reset itself. I guess it overheated or something. Now I have the "blue light of death" and I cannot get any video signal on two tvs and two different HDMI cables. I am going to return my system to Amazon and wait until they come back in stock. Totally sucks. Pretty much kills my weekend.
