----Tutorial for StaTic-RaYzor----

12 replies 69 views Edited Sep 5, 2010

Alright, I don't know if "Easy Cap" has an S-Video output, so I'm guessing it's a capture card with the standard cables (Yellow, white, and red). I have a Dazzle DVC100 and this is how I record.

You need (for me anyways):

A capture card that will connect to a computer by USB

Av cables that you can plug into your tv and cap card.

Three splitters

If you get a PS3 cable with those three colors and an S-video plug then you will have even better wuality.

Hook up all your hardware like this:  http://s773.photobucket.com/albums/yy14/tj95/?action=view&current=DSCF2726.jpg

Far left goes to your PS3, middle goes to your computer, and right goes to your tv.  If you have the S-Video like I said earlier, then plug that in as well.

Im going to figure you are decent with programs like Virtual dub and that you can follow a tut that isn't mine, so here is a tutorial to improve quality even more: http://www.halo3forum.com/montage-video-help/224862-pic-tut-best-quality-possible-dazzle-dvc100-tut....

Sorry if I make no sence.  If you want, I can make a video tutorial and look at what an easycap is for you and figure out a good setup.  I would really look at a Dazzle DVC170 if I were you though.  They are really good.

P.S.:  Your quality may suck if you are using bad programs to capture the videos, your converter, easycap, etc.  If you follow tis tutorial (the link) then you can have 720p max.

I WILL NOT spell check because I am in a rush and this is really only meant for you.

I've been having a bit of trouble with the quality from my Dazzle lately, it's great quality when I render it in Vegas but when I put it on YouTube it gets much worse. Thanks for posting this up, I'm going to give it a try and see how it works out. Kudos!

That might just be youtube prossecing it.  Wait like an hour at max then watch it.  Also, Vdub has this thing where it breaks down the video frame-by-frame and smooths it out.  It will put it back together and oyu can add stuff like watermarks/effects.
