We've seen it a lot because that guy getting the Huey's and Dogs doesn't care about the objectives.....
im not much for believing being rewarded a point streak for just doing the objective. but i do always secure the victory in the long run. i use killstreaks that make it easier for my team to succeed in the objective
such as. spy plane helps the team kill the enemy off and go for the objective, black bird does the same thing but much more effective, and dogs wipes out the enemy team so you can easily capture or guard objectives. every team needs a player that can rape the other team but in an effective way, i hate players that use hueys because not only does it make people camp the objective so it increases the enemy teams defense but now your team is one player short. dogs on the other hand will demolish the enemy team whether inside or out so they are more focused on not dying than the objective, then your team also has you to go out and get the objective while your dogs are out.
Yeah you have a point but not people are thinking like you. I kid you not, I've seen games where one guy has almost 70 kills and you go back and all he was doing is picking off people at choke points etc. Say you're defending an objective in domination and if you're either in the capture zone or kill someone capturing your flag you get double the points leading to quicker higher kill streaks, you'd be more likely to do so than just run around the map.
I like objective games because they make it easier to get into engagements, like you I HATE (Hate maybe a little strong, let's go with dislike, I'll reserve my hate for quick scoping) camping and objective games although encourage it they also make it easier to counter because the pace of the game lends to people more often than not being at high traffic areas instead of just scouring the map. Beefing incentive to objective captures can lead to hogging in say capture the flag but it will definitely encourage involvement with the overall team objective. PS: A good way to keep hogging in capture the flag to a minimum is reward rescue/saves points toward your kill streaks as well.
My only concern is that these new incentives will make Clan play GODLY as Clans can really rack up kill streak points fast. That said I thought I read somewhere that there will be better match making that invloves combat records. I'm guessing a 0.41 K/D guy like myself (Pro perking really makes my average go down lol) will most likely not be playing to many 2.1 K/D guys.
PS: I like what you said about the Huey (not liking it), although I disagree with your assesment about it's assistance. Don't get me wrong that 70 kills guy helped his team but he's so focused on personal glory that he didn't help them enough. I don't feel a Huey will make you one man short, one man on the field yes but now he's in the skies. And he'll control the board with either people hiding from him or taking up their attention at shooting him down.... However ypu're right on with the dogs, the rape, even on the large maps they are a huge help. With that said I don't get the Hind, I've never seen it control the board like a huey yet it's the same as the dogs.....???
Still loving the idea of Point Streaks as long as it's not Noob Nerfed/Abused, that said I'm a Noob (as my 0.41 K/D indicates) and so players like me will benefit the most from them which I like but still I hope they don't make it to noob friendly

In my opinion, BOII will be the most revolutionary CoD since Modern Warfare. The torch has officially been passed to Treyarch.

i guess thats true about the chopper and as for the hind i thinks its completely useless. well at least it doesnt really deserve to be 11 killstreak. maybe if it was a 9 and chopper was 11 it would fit its role better but hind isnt worth an 11. dogs are the BO players best friend. im definately going to play around with the new killstreak system but it seems to be losing the BO1 feeling but i can dea with it. i dont think second chance will be in the game and im so relieved but im also wondering what perk got rid of second chance.
wondering if it will be equally as annoying

I'm wondering that too. Actually I'm wondering where I can get a glimpse of the official Perk List. I've seen lists on the internet but they are always on forums and such, never on Activisions Facebook or official site. Is there a "Confirmed" list somewhere that I can read? I saw one list on http://www.blackops2game.com/perks-list/ but again it's not Treyarch/Activision so how can I be sure it's official
Also, I get what you're saying about losing some of the BO1 feel, sad to see it go but I'm hoping it will be replaced with something better that while originally a foreign feel we'll grow to love.
Personally I'm more concerned about the leveling up system. All BO1 needed was to add some more weapons (maybe even Overly weak Wonder Weapons) and additional customization features to the Prestige levels to make it perfect. Adding slots and Gold simply wasn't enough, especially when the added face paints were dumb.
And back to 2nd Chance, honestly I'm hoping it's not gone completely, if not a Perk then maybe something similar to Resistance. Actually Resistance wasn't all that bad except for the Weapon Wheel, I didn't like have all the weapons available to me, but the 2nd chance was good.
All in All like DoThe Dirk says, BOII will likely reinvent CoD, if not subtly like he said, the torch has been passed.

i disagree about 2nd chance. if theres no trace of it ill be happy. Resistance 1 was probably my favorite online game other than SA. true having all the weapons already available kinda sucked since leveling up wasnt needed for anything other than character customization which isnt really needed to play. R2 and R3 were online disapointments, but the campaign is the main reason for Resistance anyway which i enjoy to play very much. i love the Resistance series mainly for the campaign but R1 was an epic online game

The torch has already been passed to Treyarch after Black Ops's greatness. Infinity Ward's MW3 couldn't light the torch again with a flamethrower.

Yeah but maybe 2nd chance not as a Perk but like in resistance, where unless it's a head shot or something then there's a small window to get revived, no chance to retaliate like 2nd chance but just be revived. That way it doesn't take up a Perk slot. So are the Perks on http://www.blackops2game.com/perks-list/ as about as official as we're going to get?
