Battlefield 4 swearing

33 replies 3908 views Edited Oct 30, 2013
The ps3 is in the living room and there are little ears that like to play in it or nearby that I don't want hearing the heavy profanity. And, honestly, I don't want to hear the f-bomb used 80 different ways every other word. I was just wondering if there was an option on bf4 to turn down character dialogue or if there was a filter like on cod. Thanks!

I've brought this up before but they refuse to implement this simple option.

I have had the same issue and unfortunately the only option for someone in your situation is to turn the dialogue volume down.

Is there a option to turn dialogue volume down while having the sounds and music the same?

Is there an option for turning down only the speech or voices?  I know in bad company they had that option.

I consider questions/comments like the OP to be extremely dense.

You bought a M-rated game. There's never going to be any option(s) to turn that off. It's a M-rated game.

Yeah I figured there wouldn't be an option. Bad Company 2 has the option to turn down character dialogue while still being able to hear effects and music, but I guess they leave out that option out for bf 3 and 4. Don't know why they wouldn't add a filter like on CoD, it would increase their revenue.

Did you read the OP? He doesn't want to turn off the profanity for himself.

I knew a guy who said he turned the voiceover language in the audio section to another language. That way even though they still used swearing it wasn't something the kids would repeat or get in trouble for repeating.

Not sure its available in BF4, but its worth a look.
