Hey so idk why, but ever since last year every time i try to play a battlefield game on my ps3 it ends up lagging terribly. Im fine on any other game and only have lag issues with battlefield: 1943, bad company 2.....and now battlefield 3. I was hoping thia game would be differemt and dice fixed the issue but i still lag in the exact same way. I dont know if its my internet connection my router or just the system. I use nat 2 on my netgear router and i was really wondering if any of you could help because i love battlefield and it sucks not being able to play it in my own house.

my bro is using a limited portable router n bad company 2 & it always fails him. cuz he lags a lot & loses connection everytime. but n BF3 beta it has worked just fine. but we both connect 2 the normal router & has never failed us. i heard that they changed the servers or something like that 2 get rid of lagging issues.

I dont lose connection, the screen just freezes so eveey three seconds i run the screen freezes for a second. Or ill shoot my gun and ill stay at ten rounds. instead of 11,10,9,8,7 itll go 11,10,10,10,10,9,8,7 like it takes three clicks to shoot a bullet and it messes up my gameplay

what confuses me is that u have problems with battlefield series only. f the problem was n BF3 it might b due 2 a problem n the hard disc cuz it uses the installed files on it. anyway, have u tried 2 use any other connection (internet) ?

I coukd try that but i dont wanna carry my ps3 to my friends house. Im just looking for something to boost my internet or get the connection better

i know it might be something silly but @ least u can figure out the reason is it ur ps3 or ur internet. another silly way is 2 try ur friend's ps3 on ur internet (n ur home).

but it most likely it has something 2 do with ur internet. cuz everytime they send # of ports so ur router must b upd8ed 2 them.
