Oh my goodness. It was such a beautiful game! I agree, one of the most emotional parts for me was killing the young boy's father, and then finding out that you basically murdered them all without any sort of justification. You simply had a job and were expected to carry through without hestiation or second guessing. I really felt myself in her shoes.
Another part in the game was during the Navajo chapter. I actually battled with myself to either listen and not let my curisoity steer me into danger, or just go ahead and throw myself into imediate danger. Then at the end with the cave painting! I'm not entirely sure if that was a message that there were others out there similar to Jodie, or if they predicted she was basically some sort of prophet that would save their people.
Lastly I'd like to point out the ending when you had to chose between going to the beyond or staying back. That is probably when I felt the most emotional. Leaving a life you know that you could continue to make better (or worse), being with your loved one and actually trying to live a normal life, or basically killing yourself to be with friends and family and leaving everything you know behind. It took me a while to make a final decision.
Also, a suggestion. Play Heavy Rain! That was also a fantastic game!
I enjoyed this game very much and having played Heavy Rain I was expecting situations that you had to live with the consequences and wow it was a very emotional game. Also the musical scores for this game were amazing as well, each song puts you in a different mood.
The combat in the game wasn't all that great... The rest was truly amazing.
The decisions in the game and watching Jodi become who she is was the best story I have ever heard / taken part in.
One of the most interesting parts for me was the date night.
1. It's the first time Aiden shows more personality aimed at Jodi.
2. The knife and message on the mirror makes you really wonder what Aiden wants. And if he is a danger to Jodi.
3. I chose to just watch the scenes unfold. At the end Jodi thanks Aiden for staying out of trouble. When I replay I am going to cause havoc and see what Jodi has to say.
Also, the multiple endings was a GREAT idea. I've only seen one and I want to see them all.
