Assassin's Creed Series

I think there should be trophies for the original Assassin's Creed.  It's a good game and with Brotherhood coming out in the Fall, this would give people a good reason to go back and play it.  What does everybody think?

It has been discussed several times, and officially Ubisoft has confirmed that they won't add trophies to the original games. What a shame.

I think the aspect of trophies is overrated. Too many games that have come out, have come out with random trophies. "Get one kill...TROPHY! Walk 10ft...TROPHY!!!" If getting trophies is the only reason to go back to a game, will playing through it again really be enjoyable?

It would be a nice addition to the first game but I doubt Ubisoft will ever do it at this stage. If the game had come out in the past year or two I could see it happening but any potential sales of the game due to a trophy patch would more than likely go to the pre-owned games sector which wouldn't benefit the developers at all. It's a real shame too because a trophy patch would have been a good excuse for me to get all of those flags (I'm sure very few people actually bothered with getting them when the game came out seeing as there was no in-game reward either).

I never bothered with searching for anything in the game. I knew I wouldn't get anything out of it. The most I ever did was the viewpoints so I could do all of  those side missions in order to see if I could get anymore information on how to get to my target. Beyond that, any flags or templars I found were total coincidence.

Why do people make such a big deal over trophies? Games before this gen didnt have trophies, so why do people say games NEED them now? on the RPG board I have actually read posts from people saying that they will not buy a game if it does com with them. so ridiculous.

Some people forgot where gaming came from? They need a trophy to tell them they accomplished something. I see people with 1,000 + trophies and it is mostly from games that give out a trophy for walking 10ft in the game! Some trophies I agree are good, but random ones are pointless and a waste of time. Anyone who will not buy a game because it doesn't offer trophies isn't a real gamer, in my opinion...

People want trophies because the competitors system features achievements in most of their titles so they feel it's "necessary" to have trophies for us...even though we don't really benefit from them. But yes, since old games, we never had trophies so me persoanlly I dont care if games today have/have not trophies

Yeah it's sad that some trophy over achievers depend on trophies to play a game. If you ask me, they are overlooking at some nice games out there that don't have trophies but some of them think those games "suck" just because they "don't have trophy"support"
